Michael K. (Tiger) Price
DIRECTOR
Michael K. (Tiger) Price, MBA, a professor specializing in global career development, will join the board of directors for the Turkey Stearnes Foundation in September 2025. He previously served as the historical director of the Detroit Sports Zone High School Hall of Fame board from 2013 to 2019.
Mike Price has a diverse career marked by a variety of experiences. His collaboration with the Detroit Workforce Development Department, Goodwill Industries, United Cerebral Palsy, and Oakland University has given him a profound understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities, which led to his certification as a Global Career Development Facilitator. He served as a contract compliance officer for the City of Detroit’s Human Rights Department and worked as a Michigan media specialist during both the 2000 and 2010 Decennial Censuses. Since 1989, he has also been a member of the Friends of Wayne County Parks Board.
Mike Tiger Price’s community involvement and leadership roles are genuinely inspiring. He has been an ambassador, a radio and television sports talk show host, an adjunct professor at Wayne County Community College District, and a promoter of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers at their stadium venues. His active participation in charities, churches, and civic gatherings, along with his commitment to community and senior programs, demonstrates his dedication and the significant impact he has made on the community.
Mike is a co-author of the book “The Westsiders’: Our Story, A Collection of Remembrances of Life on the West Side of Detroit and the Accomplishments of Those Who Came From Humble Beginnings.”
Professor Price graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a broadcast media and film degree. He has a Master of Business Administration specializing in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.
Mr. Price is married to his wonderful wife, Ardith Arnelle Price, a Christian author.
